The Nova community is fighting suicide

The 'Nova' party was an open-air music festival near Gaza.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas militants attacked many people there.
They murdered 378 people and kidnapped 44.
In December 2023, the 'Nova Tribe' community was established.

The community supports over 16,000 survivors and victims. Unfortunately, some survivors committed suicide due to the events. Many of them require ongoing treatment.
Now the Nova community is launching a new suicide prevention project. The project is called 'Gatekeepers'. The Nova community presented it at an event in Tel Aviv.
As part of the project, the community trains about 3,000 people. They learn to identify distress early. They learn to listen and refer people to help. Hundreds of them also act as mentors. The goal is to help the victims and their families.
The project is in collaboration with Israel's Ministry of Welfare and Ministry of Health. The activity takes place in several locations around the country.
