The Book Week in Israel celebrates 100 years

Hebrew Book Week celebrates 100 years this year since the first Book Week.
After a short delay due to the security situation, the events have opened across Israel.
Over nine days, there will be book fairs, meetings with authors, and events for the whole family.

The main fairs are held in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as well as in other cities.

Visitors can buy books, meet authors, and participate in special activities. This year, the organizers aim to encourage more people to read books.

Among the guests and participants are authors Etgar Keret, Eshkol Nevo, and Dorit Rabinyan. Singer Ehud Banai and rapper Jimbo J are also attending various events throughout the week.
The organizers say that Book Week is an important celebration of Israeli culture. They hope that the events will help children and adults read more books and get to know the people who write them.
