The judoka Raz Hershko won a gold medal.

The match was very close and intense. The French competitor gained a waza-ari advantage. She took Raz down. She almost managed to pin her. But in the end, Raz scored an ippon and won.
After the victory, Raz said: "For me, this is not just a medal, it’s a mission. Representing the State of Israel and hearing the anthem – it’s a pride that’s hard to put into words."
