Israel is expanding local production: A major arms deal with Elbit

Elbit Systems is a large Israeli company.

The scope of the deal exceeds 600 million shekels. This is a purchase of aerial munitions. The orders are for several years ahead. The munitions are manufactured at Elbit's facilities in Israel.
The Ministry of Defense says the deal is important for Israel's independence. The Defense Minister, Israel Katz, stated that the IDF must be ready at any moment. He emphasized that Israel needs to act without dependence on other countries. The Director-General of the Ministry of Defense, Amir Baram, said the deal is part of a broader plan. The goal is to strengthen local production and Israel's munitions independence.
