Yesterday, historic talks began in Washington.
Representatives from Israel and Lebanon met for peace talks at the U.S. State Department.
The talks lasted almost two hours.
They are taking place against the backdrop of the war between Israel and Hezbollah.
Israel's main demand in the talks is the complete disarmament of Hezbollah.

Lebanon demands a full ceasefire. It seeks help in resolving the humanitarian crisis caused by the war.
The talks included U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Israel's ambassador to Washington Yehiel Leiter, and Lebanon's ambassador to the United States.
At the end of the meeting, Leiter said: "An open border between Israel and Lebanon is not an illusion. The relationship between the two countries can be like the one with the Abraham Accords countries."
The road to peace is still long. But the direction is positive. And the world sees clearly: the war is against Hezbollah, not against Lebanon or its government.
